We have worked for many oil & gas companies, utilities, investors and banks active in the energy sector as well as governments. We have helped those clients become more resilient, by defining their strategy, portfolio and positioning.
A sustainable future entails more than creating a low-carbon energy system only. Our view on a future society is that many more public problems require a similar approach and transition. We have been involved in challenges in the education system, free press, and advise several NGOs. In some cases, we do this work pro-bono, because we intrinsically believe the world becomes a better place through our support.
We believe sustainability is a system’s condition. Certain consumption and production patterns are consistent with it, and some are not. The challenge is to translate this systemic view to choices consumers can make, and how they can be informed about them. We help our clients to translate the system dynamics to a practical and and executable strategy, including short term targets and KPIs. That way, sustainability becomes tangible and adds value to our client’s business.
Good infrastructure is decisive for the economic prosperity and resilience of regions. At the same time, transportation is very energy intensive, and thus a major contributor to emissions. We have supported many transportation companies (road, rail and air) in their energy and emissions strategies. Also, we have supported large brand owners in their transportation and travel strategies. We also worked for several airports and regional governments, and helped them think about strategies to lower their negative impacts, whilst safeguarding their important public mainport function.
